Acharya Balkrishna was born on August 4, 1972, in Haridwar, Uttarakhand, India, to Nepalese immigrant parents. His early life was marked by modest circumstances, and he developed an interest in Ayurveda and traditional Indian practices. He received his education in the Gurukul tradition, focusing on Sanskrit, Vedic studies, and Ayurveda. He spent his childhood in Nepal.
Rise to Success
Balkrishna co-founded the Divya Yoga Mandir Trust in 1995, alongside Ramdev and Acharya Karamveer, to promote yoga and Ayurveda. In 2006, he co-founded Patanjali Ayurved, a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) company with Baba Ramdev. Patanjali Ayurved achieved rapid growth by emphasizing swadeshi (indigenous) products, challenging multinational corporations in the fast-moving consumer goods sector.
