Early Life
Victor Fung Kwok-king was born on October 16, 1945, in Hong Kong. He is the son of Fung Hon-chu and Lee Pui-yiu. He received his early education at King George V School in Hong Kong. Fung obtained Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in electrical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He later earned a PhD in business economics from Harvard Business School and taught there as a professor of finance before returning to Hong Kong.
Rise to Success
Victor Fung, along with his brother William, inherited and significantly grew Li & Fung Group, a company founded by their grandfather in 1906. Under their leadership, Li & Fung evolved into a major global supply chain management company, acting as a crucial intermediary between manufacturers and retailers. Victor served as the chairman of Li & Fung until 2012, and he later became the honorary chairman.

Victor Fung played a pivotal role in the expansion of Li & Fung, focusing on supply chain innovation and establishing strong relationships with major retailers and brands. His strategic vision helped the company navigate the complexities of global trade and adapt to changing market dynamics.
