Sven Hagströmer was born on November 30, 1943, in Solna, Sweden. He comes from a noble family. As a youth, he displayed an interest in the stock market, buying his first share at the age of twelve. His early interest in electronics led him to start a business selling sound systems while studying at Stockholm University.
Rise to Success
Hagströmer began his professional journey as a portfolio manager at Gränges AB (1969-1973) and Investor (1973-1980). He founded Sven Hagströmer Fondkommission AB in 1981, which later became HQ Bank. In 1990, he co-founded Hagströmer & Qviberg AB, later renamed HQ Bank. A pivotal moment in his career was founding Avanza Bank, an online brokerage, in 1994, which is a significant asset of Creades, the investment company he leads.
