Early Life
Samvel Karapetyan was born on August 18, 1965, in Kalinino, Armenia (now Tashir). He graduated from Yerevan Polytechnic Institute in 1986 with a degree in engineering.
Rise to Success
Karapetyan's career began in the 1990s when he moved to Russia. In 1997, he became the president of Kalugaglavsnab OAO, a logistics company. In 1999, he founded the Tashir Group, a conglomerate that includes over 200 companies and employs over 30,000 people. The Tashir Group operates in various sectors, including real estate, construction, retail, and banking. Karapetyan built his wealth through strategic real estate investments, particularly in commercial properties.

Karapetyan's business strategy has focused on acquiring and developing commercial real estate, including shopping centers and office buildings. Tashir Group has a significant presence in Russia, with multiple shopping malls under the RioMall brand. He has also expanded into the energy sector and other industries.
