Early Life and Education
Joe Agresti grew up in a working-class family in North Bergen, New Jersey. His father was an architectural woodworker, and his mother was a nurse. He attended Rutgers University on a wrestling scholarship and studied accounting.
Rise to Success
Agresti started his career in the Metro New York office of the Big Six firm Arthur Anderson. He then transitioned into the auto industry, handling due diligence for mergers and acquisitions. In 2004, he was given the opportunity to invest in and run a Mercedes-Benz dealership in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. At the age of 31, he used his savings and a loan to acquire his first dealership. He met Nick Saban through Mercedes in 2013, which led to a successful business partnership.
Key Business Strategies
Agresti focuses on operating luxury automobile dealerships. He now runs nine dealerships across five states. His business model includes an emphasis on customer service, luxury amenities, and community involvement. Agresti owns the majority stakes in the dealerships and oversees day-to-day operations.
