Early Life and Education
Jared Corey Kushner was born on January 10, 1981, in Livingston, New Jersey. He is the son of real estate developer Charles Kushner and Seryl Stadtmauer. Kushner attended the Frisch School, a Modern Orthodox yeshiva high school. In 2003, he graduated from Harvard University with a B.A. in government. He later earned a J.D./MBA from New York University School of Law and the Stern School of Business in 2007.
Rise to Success
Kushner began his career in real estate, taking over Kushner Companies after his father faced legal issues. He expanded the company's presence in the New York City real estate market, purchasing 666 Fifth Avenue in 2007 for a then-record $1.8 billion. In 2006, he purchased The New York Observer, a newspaper popular among Manhattan’s power brokers. In 2009, he married Ivanka Trump. During Donald Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign, Kushner played a significant role.
