Ingrid Wu, born Wu Chunyuan in 1971 in Changzhou, China, grew up during a period of significant social and economic change. Her family's modest background prioritized education, leading Wu to study nursing at the Changzhou School of Public Health, graduating in 1989. After graduation, she worked as a nurse in a local hospital for several years. This early experience laid the foundation for her later management skills.
Rise to Success
In 1993, Wu co-founded Shenzhen Yuanyu Industrial Development Co., Ltd., the predecessor to AAC Technologies, with her husband, Benjamin Zhengmin Pan. Starting with the manufacturing of miniature acoustic components, the company capitalized on the burgeoning electronics sector in Shenzhen. Under her leadership as the chief operational officer until 2005, AAC Technologies expanded and formed key partnerships, becoming a major player in the industry.
