Caspar Callerström was born in Sweden in 1973. He pursued higher education at the Stockholm School of Economics, where he earned a Master of Economics degree with majors in Financial Economics and International Business. Callerström joined EQT AB in 1996 and became a Partner in 2004. From 2007 to 2013, he served as Head of EQT Equity in Stockholm. During this time, he played a key role in the firm's investment strategies and portfolio management. His responsibilities expanded as he became a member of the Equity Partners Investment Committee. From 2016 to 2022, Callerström held the positions of Group Deputy CEO and COO. Prior to EQT, he was a partner at General Atlantic, where he led the firm's investment in Klarna.
