Mark Anthony Stevens was born on February 17, 1960, in Los Angeles County, California. He attended Culver City High School and went on to earn bachelor's degrees in electrical engineering and economics in 1981, followed by a master's degree in computer engineering in 1984, all from the University of Southern California (USC). He furthered his education by obtaining an MBA from Harvard Business School in 1989.
Rise to Success
Stevens's career began at Hughes Aircraft Company and Intel Corporation before he joined Sequoia Capital in 1989 as an associate, and becoming a partner in 1993. During his two decades at Sequoia, the firm invested in several tech giants, including Google, PayPal, and LinkedIn. He specialized in semiconductors, networking systems and software. Stevens later founded his own firm, S-Cubed Capital, and currently serves as its managing partner. His investments have significantly contributed to his estimated net worth.

Stevens focuses on early-stage companies within the semiconductor, software, and systems markets.
