Early Life
Frank Leonard VanderSloot was born on August 14, 1948, in Billings, Montana. His family moved to an 80-acre farm in northern Idaho shortly after his birth. Growing up in a modest household, VanderSloot learned the value of hard work early on, assisting with farm chores and contributing to the family's income from a young age. He joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at age 16 and later served a mission in the Netherlands.
Rise to Success
VanderSloot's career began with positions at Automatic Data Processing and Cox Communications. In 1985, he founded Melaleuca, Inc., which started as a multi-level marketing company, selling nutritional supplements and personal care products. Under his leadership, Melaleuca has grown into a leading e-commerce company and has been recognized as one of the fastest-growing private companies in the U.S..
