Levine's career took a significant turn when he co-founded Levine Leichtman Capital Partners (LLCP) in 1984. The firm has since managed billions of dollars of institutional capital across multiple investment funds. Levine's strategic vision focuses on investing in various sectors, including business services, franchising, and education. The firm's successful exits from companies such as Tropical Smoothie Cafe, Wetzel's Pretzels, and Nothing Bundt Cakes underscore the effectiveness of his investment strategies. Levine and his wife, Arlene, are recognized philanthropists, contributing significantly to Northwell Health. Their $5 million commitment in 2021 will be recognized at North Shore University Hospital. Additionally, they have endowed the Arlene and Arthur Levine Professor in Clinical Ophthalmology, ensuring excellence in eye care and research. The Levines support key programs in cardiology and women's health at the Katz Institute for Women's Health. He also serves on the advisory board of North Shore University Hospital and is a trustee for the Nassau County Museum of Art.
