Schuijff's career in fintech began in the late 1990s. He worked as a systems architect at Bibit Global Payment Services from 1997 to 2004. In 2006, he co-founded Adyen with Pieter van der Does, John Caspers, and Roelant Prins. As CTO, he played a pivotal role in developing Adyen's payment platform, which handles multiple currencies and payment methods. Adyen's IPO in 2018 made Schuijff a billionaire. After stepping down from Adyen's management board in January 2021, he founded Tebi, a fintech startup that simplifies payments for small businesses, particularly in the hospitality industry.
