Zucker began her career as an elementary school teacher for ten years. In 1982, she joined The InterTech Group, a company founded by her late husband, Jerry Zucker. After her husband's passing in 2008, she took over as the chair and CEO of The InterTech Group. Under her leadership, the company has expanded and diversified its investments, becoming one of the largest private companies in the United States, with estimated revenues of around $3 billion.
