After graduating, Yu worked as an engineer. In 2007, he founded Will Semiconductor. Under his leadership, Will Semiconductor has become a leading supplier of image sensor chips for smartphones, electric vehicles, and other applications. A pivotal moment was the 2019 acquisition of U.S.-based competitor OmniVision for $2.2 billion. This acquisition significantly expanded Will Semiconductor's technological capabilities and market reach.
