Early Life
Veronica Squinzi, born in Milan, Italy, in 1972, is part of the third generation of the Squinzi family to lead Mapei. Her early career began within Mapei after graduating from the Università degli Studi di Milano with a degree in Political Science, specializing in Corporate Management and Industrial Strategy in 1997. She later earned an MBA from the SDA Bocconi School of Management in 2002.
Rise to Success
Veronica Squinzi joined Mapei in 1997, starting in the Management Control Department. Through various roles within the company, she gained international experience by traveling to and working with Mapei's subsidiaries worldwide, deepening her understanding of the global operations. In 1999, she became part of Mapei's Strategic Planning Department, eventually rising to the role of Global Development Director, where she coordinated local teams and facilitated communication between subsidiaries and the parent company. In July 2019, she became the co-CEO of Mapei, alongside her brother, Marco, taking over the leadership role shortly before their father's passing.
