Early Life
Suresh Krishna was born in Madurai, Tamil Nadu, India, in 1936. He comes from the prominent TVS family, deeply rooted in India's industrial landscape since the early 20th century. His father, T.S. Krishna, was a key figure in expanding the family's business interests. Suresh completed his schooling in Madurai and later pursued higher education, earning a Bachelor of Science degree from Madras Christian College, a Master of Arts in Literature from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and completed postgraduate studies in Literature at the University of Munich.
Rise to Success
Suresh Krishna began his career with TVS and Sons. In 1962, he founded Sundram Fasteners Limited (SFL). Under his leadership, SFL grew to become a global leader in the automotive components industry. SFL manufactures a wide range of automotive products, including high tensile fasteners, cold extruded parts, and powertrain components. In 1991, SFL secured its first major international contract with General Motors. SFL became the first Indian company to receive GM's "Best Supplier Award."

Suresh Krishna focused on quality, innovation, and corporate governance to drive SFL's success. SFL became the first Indian engineering company to acquire ISO 9000 certification. SFL has 27 factories, including locations in China and the United Kingdom.
