Early Life
Suresh Krishna was born on December 24, 1936, in Madurai, Madras Presidency, India. He is the grandson of T. V. Sundram Iyengar, the founder of the TVS Group. He completed his B.Sc. from Madras Christian College in 1955. He furthered his education by obtaining a M.A. in Literature from the University of Wisconsin and the University of Munich.
Rise to Success
Suresh Krishna's career took flight at TVS and Sons, leading to the establishment of Sundram Fasteners Limited (SFL) in 1962. Under his leadership, SFL grew into a global powerhouse, manufacturing various automotive parts. He served as President of the Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India from 1982 to 1984 and as President of the Confederation of Indian Industry from 1987 to 1988.
