Rajiv Jain was born in India and grew up in northern India. He developed an early interest in investing during high school. Jain earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from Panjab University in India. He subsequently obtained a master's degree in finance from the University of Ajmer. In 1990, he relocated to the United States to pursue an MBA at the University of Miami, marking his transition into American business education and facilitating his entry into global finance.
Rise to Success
Jain's career began as an international equity analyst at Swiss Bank Corporation. He then joined Vontobel Asset Management in 1994, where he became the Chief Investment Officer and Head of Equities. He later served as co-CEO of Vontobel. In 2016, Jain founded GQG Partners, where he currently serves as Chairman and Chief Investment Officer. Under his leadership, GQG Partners has grown to manage significant assets, demonstrating his ability to capture institutional capital for global equity strategies.
