Konstantin Ivanovich Strukov was born on September 10, 1958, in the Orenburg region of Russia. Growing up in a region with rich mining history, he developed an early interest in the field. He pursued higher education at the Magnitogorsk Mining and Metallurgical Institute, graduating in 1980 with a degree in mining engineering.
Rise to Success
Strukov's professional journey began in 1980 at the Karaganda Coal enterprise in Kazakhstan. He quickly rose through the ranks, demonstrating strong leadership abilities. In 1997, Strukov became the General Director of Yuzhuralzoloto (UGC). Under his leadership, UGC experienced significant growth, increasing production and modernizing its processing technologies. Strukov's strategic investments and ability to identify opportunities were crucial to the company's success.
