He was the son of Albert Beaufour, a successful businessman and former CEO of Ipsen Group, and the grandson of Dr. Henri Beaufour, who founded Beaufour Laboratories, the precursor to Ipsen, in 1929. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Georgetown University.
