Delfin Jorge Ezequiel Carballo was born on November 21, 1952. He earned a Law Degree from Pontificia Universidad Catolica Argentina.
Rise to Success
Carballo co-founded Macro Compañía Financiera in 1978, laying the foundation for what has become Argentina's largest bank, Banco Macro. The bank went public in Buenos Aires in 1994 and started trading on the New York Stock Exchange in 2006. He served as the CFO of Banco Macro for decades. In 2020, following the death of his business partner and co-founder, Jorge Brito, he assumed the presidency. He stepped down from his chairman role in 2023.
