Early Life
Yngve Conni Jonsson was born in Kuddby, Sweden, on July 15, 1960. He graduated from Linköping University in 1984 with a Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in Economic Analysis and Accounting & Finance.
Rise to Success
Jonsson's career began at Swedbank Robur and, in 1987, he joined Investor AB, a Wallenberg family holding company, where he served as Executive Vice President. In 1994, he co-founded EQT Partners AB, with the backing of the Wallenberg Family. Under his leadership, EQT expanded globally, establishing branches across multiple continents. Jonsson served as CEO of EQT for 20 years before becoming Chairman of the Board in 2014. EQT's focus is primarily on private equity, but also includes venture capital, real estate, and infrastructure. Jonsson oversaw EQT's transformation from a Nordic-focused fund to a global investment powerhouse. In 2019, he led EQT's IPO on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
