Conni Jonsson was born and raised in rural Sweden. Growing up, he worked on his family's farm, where he learned the value of hard work and dedication. Initially, he considered a career in agricultural science, but his path changed due to his academic performance.
Rise to Success
Jonsson pursued higher education at the University of Linköping, where he studied accounting and finance. This shift marked the beginning of his career in finance. After graduating, he joined the Wallenberg Family Holding Company. In 1994, Jonsson founded EQT Partners AB, an investment firm, with the backing of Investor AB, AEA Investors, and SEB. EQT, under Jonsson's leadership, has grown to become a leading global investment organization. EQT had roughly $62 billion (52 billion Euro) in assets under management. Jonsson transitioned from CEO to chairperson in 2014.
